The Characteristics of a Flex-School

Flex-School was established in 2005.@A "Flex-School" means a three-time school, with morning, afternoon, and night courses, as well as a high school on a credit system.

@ Kashimanada High School started as three-time school and credit-system school in AprilC 2005.@ We set up three courses, i.e. morning, afternoon, and night courses, so you can choose any of the three courses suited to your lifestyle.@We call this system a Flex-School.

Learn various things from various subjects

@Making your own time table in a credit-system school, you can learn various things, based on your own plan and suited to your interests.@

@Aside from normal subjects, you can choose from a variety of others such as Chinese, Ceramic Art, Psychology, and Japanese drumming.@Our Ceramic Art class, taught by a professional ceramic artist, enables you to explore your creative side.@You can also take Chinese class taught by a native Chinese speaker.@In additon, you can study for the purpose of entering universities.


We support your realizing the future course suited to your wishes

@We prepare various supports for your realizing the future course suited to your wishes.@We have some seminars for students wishing to go on to college, and for students seeking jobs.@We also have interview seminars.@The department of Career-Counseling will offer you every possible support to your realizing your dreams.


We make much of your life style

@School starts at 8:55 in the morning and ends at 8:50 in the evening.@We have 12 periods a day.@We have three-time courses: the morning course, the afternoon course, and the evening course.@You can choose one among them according to your life style.

@See the curriculum and the required subjects you have to take.@74 units are needed to graduate from this high school.@You can graduate in 3 years if you take 25 units a year on average.@Of course you can take four years or more to graduate.


We support classes with fewer students, so teachers can help students more directly

@We support classes with fewer students.@We have a capacity of forty in each course.@When students study Japanese, Math and English, we divide the course into two or three classes in each level (base to advanced).@We have lessons for both those who want to learn slowly and those who want to enter university.@Students can study at their own pace.


We give you mental support

@Our school puts an importance on mental care so that you can lead a pleasant high school life.@A school counselor, a counseling coordinator, and Ibaraki University graduate students majoring in psychology, come to school regularly to support you.@When you are worried about your high school life, they will listen to you carefully and give you advice.
